A star was born
After the establishment of his namesake brand in 1970, Roberto Cavalli stole the spotlight with his first runway show at Palazzo Pitti, where he unveiled an avant-garde collection expressing his joyful, opulent aesthetic.
In 1993, Roberto Cavalli revoluzionized the world of denim by introducing particular techniques to achieve charming lived-in effects. The designer also enriched jeans with patchwork, gold stitching and applications elevating denim to a luxury rank.
Defined in 2001 by the New York Times “The King of Fashion Animalier,” Roberto Cavalli chose to make wild animal patterns his design signature by splashing them on everything, from his treated denim styles to the red carpet gowns.
From “Limbo,” the first boutique Roberto Cavalliopened in Saint Tropez in the Seventies, the brand always delivered upscale shopping experiences in its international retail network.
